Let’s just talk about Storm, now.
I mean, look at this lady. Unlike the some of the other hypocrites at the Jean Grey School, when she says she’ll keep this place a safe haven, she means it.
And unlike the others, when Warren makes his choice, even though she doesn’t agree with it, she respects his right to choose.
This issue was mostly about Teen Jean and Warren, but Storm shone pretty brightly here.

“The Beautiful”
The idea for this photo was set up by Brooke Shaden. I was stunned when the model agreed to get into this slimy dirty chest-high water at an abandoned greenhouse. I lifted the broken door out of the sludge and put it over her head.
For me, it represents beauty, always clawing it’s way out of ugliness and horrible circumstance.
Thanks to Brooke for allowing me to photograph this moment along side of her.
